A huge congratulations is in order for the most anticipated album of the season from lyrical artist, Drake. As publicly noted, Drizzy just released his third solo album titled 'Nothing Was The Same', and as expected, the new album hits number 1. According to Hits Daily Double, Drake tops billboard charts with approximately 658, 179 units moved in first week sales. That beats out numbers from this years 'Yeezus' and smashes all those records that his peer Nicki Minaj was holding with her expected 350K every album first week.

Nothing Was The Same sits high and mighty right over Kings of Leon's 'Mechanical Bull' which moved 115K and even tops out the legend, Cher's 'Closer To The Truth' which moved 61.5K first week. With the steam still rolling, can Drake make NWTS go platinum? We hope so! Especially seeing as how the YMCMB rapper is gearing up to headline his own 'Would You Like A Tour' which kicks off October 18th in Pittsburg. You can check out the tour release video below and give a warm congrats to October's Very Own!
